2. Scope of Services

SmartHelix provides customized automation solutions for homes and offices, including:

  • Smart device integration and installation

  • System design and consultancy

  • Maintenance and support

  • Monitoring and IoT cybersecurity solutions

All services are subject to quotation, approval, and availability.

3. Use of Website

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Attempt to access restricted areas without authorization.

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute any website content without written permission.

  • Upload malicious code or interfere with website functionality.

SmartHelix reserves the right to restrict or terminate website access for misuse.

4. Quotations and Orders

  • All quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.

  • Acceptance of a quotation constitutes an agreement to these Terms.

  • Orders may require a deposit or upfront payment before work begins.

  • Final system design and pricing may vary based on site assessments or client-specific requirements.

 

5. Payments and Billing

  • Payments are due as per the agreed project schedule or invoice terms.

  • Late payments may incur interest as permitted by law.

  • Ownership of all equipment remains with SmartHelix until full payment is received.

  • Online payments (if applicable) are processed through secure, accredited third-party gateways.

 

6. Installation and Setup

  • Clients must ensure safe access to the property for installation.

  • SmartHelix is not responsible for delays caused by client inaccessibility, power issues, or third-party service failures.

  • Any additional work required after installation completion will be quoted separately.

 

7. Warranties and Support

  • All SmartHelix products and systems include a limited manufacturer’s warranty as applicable.

  • SmartHelix provides technical support for products installed by its certified technicians.

  • Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, unauthorized modification, or external factors such as power surges or network failure.

 

8. Data and Privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using SmartHelix systems, you consent to the collection and processing of data required for automation performance and monitoring.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

SmartHelix will not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Service interruptions due to network or third-party failures.

  • Loss of data or functionality resulting from user error or misconfiguration.

Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the related product or service.

 

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, software, logos, and content remain the intellectual property of SmartHelix (Pty) Ltd.
Clients may not copy, reproduce, or reuse any materials without written consent.

 

11. Termination of Services

SmartHelix reserves the right to suspend or terminate any service in cases of:

  • Breach of these Terms

  • Non-payment

  • Abuse, misuse, or illegal activity involving SmartHelix systems

Upon termination, all outstanding amounts become immediately due and payable.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa (Gauteng Division).

 

13. Changes to Terms

SmartHelix may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Changes will take effect upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
